Session 2 - Friday 27 January, 14:30 - 17:00

Reframing leadership dilemmas

Who should attend:

People who have been in a leadership role for some time, professional or functional team leaders and people leading complex projects.

Why you should attend:

The reality of many complex leadership dilemmas is that there is no single solution - indeed  defining the actual dilemma can in itself be a source of disagreement! So the ability to reframe the dilemma can often be the key to unlocking a different approach to its solution - or at least a step towards it.

This session will be used to explore some concepts and theories that the facilitator has used with senior individuals and teams to help them view work based issues from a different perspective.

What are the session objectives:

  • To introduce the concept of ‘the primary task’.
  • To understand the conditions that might lead to task ambiguity and conflict.
  • To explore strategies that will help you reframe your leadership dilemma.
